Gwadar is located on the seashores of the Arabian Sea. it is very near to key shipping routes where the supply of the oil for two-thirds of the world make possible. It is an important port of Pakistan's western province Baluchistan. Gawadar Port is one of the main projects of Pakistan's history that will ensure to create an opportunity for jobs and solve issues related to power. A Road to Prosperity and Economic Development The Gwadar Port is one of the three Marine ports of the World and has its strategic importance. A Mother vessel of nearly five lactones weight can be harbored here easily. The Salient Features of the Gawadar Port A local and international airport has been constructed at Gwadar. Gwadar International Airport will become the biggest airport of the country. A grand Makran Coastal Highway which is 653Km long has been completed along the coastline of Gwadar. The prominent features of Gawadar Port are as listed: • To build three multipurpose docks • To build a 4.5 km long approach canal • To build service berth of 100-meter long • Transfer of livestock and minerals at a large scale • To build a trans-shipment centre • Construction of the PC Hotel is complete for the tourists on the Koh-e-Batil while many hotels are under-construction. • To have access through highways and railway to central Asian countries • To build export processing zones and vast industrial regions.
Gawadar—Whatsoever Exists in the World—Exists Here The atomic powerhouse of 600MW has built by China on the Makran Coast. To fulfill all the needs of water and power in Gwadar, a nuclear hydrology complex is also built by China. A railway line of a 910-Km long at a cost of Rs. 180.2 million shall be laid from Mastung to Nushki and Dilbadin to Gwadar. The project has been started and shall be finished by 2018. This project will link Gawadar to the national railway network. A project of a 1000-bed hospital is completed by the government of Pakistan with an enormous financial aid of Oman.
Gawadar-A Game Changer in the Region The first phase of Gwadar Port was officially inaugurated on 20th March 2007. The Construction work of Phase II is going on rapidly and will be completed very soon. According to the agreement with the government of Pakistan the supervision of all the matters of the Gwadar Port is being completed by China. Gwadar is a great gift for our country and will prove to be a game changer in the region. It will play a significant role in the growth of foreign exchange investments and in the development of the economy of Pakistan. The government of Pakistan should declare Gawadar a duty-free port to gain the maximum advantage of this naturally prosperous region.
