Gold’s unstable trend persisted in Pakistan on Friday as the value of the valuable metal declined following two consecutive rises.
As per the information provided by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the cost of gold (24 carats) fell by Rs. 400 per tola, reaching Rs. 222,400, while the price of 10 grams dropped by Rs. 343, closing at Rs. 190,672.
Despite avoiding significant alterations, the value of gold has maintained its unpredictable nature in recent times. In the ongoing week, the price of gold started with two consecutive declines, succeeded by two consecutive increments.
Collectively, within this week, the price of gold has gone down by Rs. 400 per tola so far. In the preceding week, the gold price had decreased by Rs. 1,900 per tola.
In the global market, the immediate value of gold increased by 0.3 percent, reaching $1,917.73 per ounce as of 1037 GMT. Simultaneously, US gold futures experienced a 0.1 percent rise, reaching $1,950.20.
